Above-knee prosthetic leg socket is a custom-made product for the union of the stump and the prosthesis.
The socket, which is custom-made by taking the patient’s stump measurements, is mounted on the prosthetic leg and inserted into the patient’s stump.
There are different types of sockets, but in recent years the demand for carbon sockets has increased significantly.
The reason why carbon socket is preferred is that it is light, strong, resistant to breakage and most importantly, it is very cosmetically aesthetic.
Above-knee prosthesis trial socket is a product applied to people who will receive a prosthesis or to people who will renew their existing socket.
